Malware Village is dedicated to providing a safe and engaging environment for participants to learn and share knowledge about malware analysis. Our mission is to equip attendees with the skills, techniques, and historical context needed to understand, research, and combat malware. Participants will gain hands-on experience with real-world analysis techniques, guided by seasoned infosec professionals.

Beyond technical training, Malware Village fosters a strong community where researchers, enthusiasts, and professionals can connect. We welcome everyone—whether you're an artist creating malware-inspired art, a hardware researcher discovering unexpected connections to malware analysis, or a seasoned analyst reminiscing about early malware history. Even children can explore malware through Malmons (Malware Monsters), making cybersecurity education more accessible.

At Malware Village, attendees will gain both practical skills and theoretical knowledge across key areas of malware analysis, research, and cybersecurity. Here’s what participants can expect:

• Learn how to analyze malware behavior and functionality using static and dynamic analysis methods such as reverse engineering, debugging, and sandboxing.

• Hands-on workshops will teach practical malware research skills, while expert-led talks will explore real-world malware campaigns, attack methodologies, and countermeasures.

Hands-On Contests & Workshops

Participants can engage in interactive competitions and practical workshops to test and enhance their malware analysis skills:

• MARC I (Malware Analysis Report Competition I): Participants analyze real malware, documenting their findings in a story-style investigative report covering who, what, when, where, why, and how they identified the malware.

• NO-HAVOC (Networked Online Helpline for All Victims Of Cybercrime): A workshop on cybercrime victim assistance, exploring how AI and LLMs can provide meaningful, real-time help to victims.

Real-World Malware Scenarios

• Explore live malware samples and case studies to understand how malware spreads, how attackers deploy malicious code, and how to detect and mitigate malware threats in real-world attacks.
